Hhhmmmmmmmm, I’ve been mulling things over for a few days and I’ve come to the conclusion that the vast majority of mankind is stupid. not because we were born stupid but because we were trained to be stupid as children and have not yet changed our schooling. “when i was a child I thought like a child, acted like a child …. and now i am an adult i do exactly the same thing I did as a child!” Why? BecauseI have never become self- determining. That is what Christ wants us to do – to become self-determining. To become self determining we must look at all our thoughts and put them to a test – is this a true thought that will make my life better or is this a false thought that will make my life worse? If it is a good thought then we confirm it and keep it. If it is a bad thought then we throw it out and replace it with a stronger good (truthful) thought. We can’t just throw a negative thought out without replacing it with a positive thought. Jesus spoke about an evil spirit going for a walk and coming back to find 17 had taken it’s place. Every negative thought leaves an empty spot that has to be filled by something good, otherwise it is going to be filled by another negative (nature abhors a vacuum and like attracts like!)
Every hateful thought has to be replaced by a stronger thought of Peace. Remember that hateful thoughts are like a dark room. Anyone can walk into a dark room and strike a match that will emanate light to every corner of the room. But no-one can walk into a light room and strike a dark match that will emanate darkness into every corner. The only way to make a room dark is to close all the doors and shut all the curtains. If you are in that dark room you have to strike a match that will show you where there is a candle you can light. The lit candle will in turn show you where the light switch is, then, after switching the lights on, you can see where the curtains and doors are, so you can open them to admit the sunlight! (step by easy step, each one being stronger than the last step)
The same goes with world Peace. The world is in darkness and the only match we can light is ourselves. Once that is lit we can light the candle of family and friends. Once they are lit they will light other candles and more and more illumination will spread through out the world, causing the rats of darkness to scurry back down into the earth and lighting up the whole planet. That is why the saying is “Think global, act local!” We cannot change the world but we can change ourselves. And once we have changed ourselves we will be able to change at least one person in our lifetime, probably two (or even more)! And each of those two will be able to change another two and so on and so forth – the sequence of numbers goes 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 etc. After ten steps there will be 1,024 people thinking and acting on Peace. Not much you may think, but another ten steps makes it over a million (1,048,576). Yet another ten steps equals over a billion people thinking of Peace!(1,073,742,824). It is only another 3 steps to include every man, woman and child in the world!
Have you heard of the theory of the 100th monkey? Apparently scientists starting feeding some monkeys sweet potatoes on an island to see what they would do. The potatoes were just dropped on the ground and got covered in dirt. One of the young monkeys started washing it’s potatoes and it in turn was copied by other young monkeys. The young monkeys then taught the older monkeys to wash their potatoes too and before you know it whole island’s monkeys were washing their potatoes as well.
So the scientists went to another island that had no communication with the first and dropped the potatoes there. They were amazed to see the monkeys immediately wash their potatoes! Somehow the act of washing had become part of the monkey consciousness (we are all connected). Since then research has shown that about 4% of any population needs to be doing an action in unison for it to become an active part of the consciousness. So the sequence goes 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 80%! There is a huge leap forward once that critical percentage is reached.
So what is the point of all this babbling? Only that world Peace is in your hands, brothers and sisters! In your hands. Change your thinking to that of Peace and light a match in your heart that will set aflame the matches of other hearts and start a chain reaction of “pass it forwards” until the world is ablaze with the light of Peace!
