The Plimsoll Line

Greed has aklways been a problem with men. In the olden days shipowners used to load their ships to the max, until they were basically floating bricks. They would load their ships until the boat floated in the water with only a foot to spare between the water and the deck. In port where the water is calm this doesn’t appear to be a problem, but get out in the open ocean where waves can be very high, then the ship is easily sunk. Also if a ship went into a freshwater port, the lower density of the water meant the ship could simply disappear from view! And that is what was happening.

The Plimsoll line is basically a safe load line, the purpose of which is to ensure that a ship has sufficient freeboard (the height from the water line to the main deck) and thus sufficient reserve buoyancy.

It is named after Samuel Plimsoll, the English legislator who made it his job to introduce safety measures in the shipping industry.  So the Plimsol Line is a physical safety line that stops ships sinking. Is there anything in the metaphysical and spiritual worlds that do similar things? Yes there are! For instance the metaphysical rule of living within 90% of your income is like a metaphysical Plimsoll Line. It stops us falling into crisis when our income temporarily (or permanently) drop.

If we are living on 100% of our income, then when (not if) our income drops by, say, 3%, then we are living on 103% of our income. If we are living on 100% of our income, then we are very unlikely to have any amount of savings we can call on in this time of crisis and the crisis compounds downwards, as we “rob Peter to pay Paul”

So living on 90% of our income is our metaphysical Plimsoll Line

But if we are living on 90% of our income we have money to save and gift each week. Why save and gift? Saving is often “saving for a rainy day” but gifting is always “Gifting for a sunny day!” because whatever we gift returns to us multiplied. Once we get a virtuous cycle going in our lives, we can afford to invest our savings into assets instead of insurance against bad times. And that adds to the virtuous cycle! So we end up gifting AND saving for sunny days! The virtuous cycle is our Spiritual Plimsoll Line!!

The virtuous cycle is our Spiritual Plimsoll Line!

The virtuous cycle is our Spiritual Plimsoll Line!

The virtuous cycle is our Spiritual Plimsoll Line!

Sorry, i just had to repeat that as it is singing in my head like a celestial choir.

Once we have a physical, metaphysical and spiritual “plimsol line” in place that part of our lives is WHOLE(Holy).

Surely it is better to be whole than incomplete? Only an idiot would disagree with that statement. But only a Committed Person will actually implement it in their lives. There is a huge difference between agreeing with something and actually doing it and that one difference is commitment.  Are you 100% committed to yourself. In commitment the plimsoll line is at 100% – always! If we are not 100% committed to our own lives, how can others be? How can God Be? He can only be committed as much as we let him – “to the level of your belief (commitment) it shall be given to you.” Surely it is best to have God working 100% on your side? Methinks so!

If you are interested in getting a personal inner plimsoll line, look at my articles on the Virtuous cycles(3 of them) here on wordpress blog.

Also take a look at the Wholistic Peace and Prosperity Network – an organisation gifted to me and set up to implement the virtuous cycle in our lives, with no knowledge needed and very little commitment. However it is set up to implement a doingness that leads us to a BEingnessm, and it is that BEingness that creates our true wealth in life; BE, DO and HAVE is the ancient rule. But in WPPN we do, BE, DO and HAVE!  Almost like a Frank Sinatra song! Lol! (do, be. do, be, do, strangers in the night) Lol!

The main obstacle that stops people joining the network is the right commitment. People think they have to commit to the network first and foremost. But that is an illusion. The first entity you have to commit too is YOURSELF! This is the ruling of the eleventh commandment. (What! There are only 10 commandments! BUZZ, WRONG) There are ten commandments in the Old Testament, one in the New Testament – the  eleventh commandment is  “A new commandment (the eleventh) I give unto you, That you love one another; as I have loved you.” John 13:34 Notice that we are commanded to love One first. Who is this One? Why yourself, of course. We are made in the image of God, and who does God Love Above all? Himself of course! Only by Loving Himself can He love us. Only by us Loving ourselves can we love others (as within, so without).

We cannot practice commitment as we can practice the virtuous cycle. We have to BE committed. It is an On/Off switch. The on is the BE, the off is everything else to stops us BEing.

So make a commitment to create your own inner plimsoll line today, right now, immediately! Do it, Do it, DO IT!!

Love Peace and Prosperity,

About reverendjiam

Namaste I am a master metaphysician , an artist and a lover of life and people. I was given a new organisation - the Wholistic Peace and Prosperity Network - in an epiphany in 1992. I have spent all the time since then struggling to get it started. It was started three years ago and now has 3 members. This year will see us expand to 100 members and then we'll be launched! in the future it will spread world wide and even to our colonies in space! Since writing this I have been promoted to the level of Peacemaker. Apparently there are only seven in this class in the world at the moment. I was promoted when Nelson Mandela died and am amongst greats like John Lennon, Gandhi and The Dalai Lama. Each of us have our own particular task. Mine is to teach Peace (the state of Poor) and Prosperity (the state of Abundance), to lift people up above the negative material state into a state of heavenly BEingness, called Wealth. J'iam
